Life after a BP ex... dating and new love

Well it's been well over a year since I've been with my BP ex, and 6 months since I've been "officially" single on paper. Even though I've been dating it's been just recently that I have met somone that I'm REALLY interested in. I've been taking my time with the whole dating thing over the past year and a half, and to be honest, I guess I really didn't WANT a relationship. I sorted through a lot of stuff that my BP ex put me...

It's finally over....

Well, I went to court the other day and thank god, my lawyer finally got my BP ex to sign the D papers. Even after the strange attempts he made to recover some odd items in my posession, and trying to give me HIS credit card debt, he finally signed anyway. The court also made it clear to him that he NEEDED to pay me the money he owed me after bouncing checks he gave me. I got the money today. It's over.

I feel...

Learned to not ask "why" anymore... just want out of this mess

Still trying to get thru my impending divorce and anullment, and it just keeps getting worse. My BP ex has now stopped paying his 1/2 of the mortgage (the house is on the market for sale) even though our lawyers agreed upon that arrangement. So I am covering it with credit cards so I don't loose the house. I just found out he's hiding $5k in a new bank account, he bought a new car, and won't get back to us regarding his...

Wanted to share a poem I wrote....

Regret

The perfect pair, as seen by most
A façade for happy ever after
What could've, should've, would've been
Has now become will never

She thought her love would prevail
To heal something inside him
The ups and downs, highs and lows
Too long she marched to that rhythm

For months and months she tried
Time together aside
The laughter died
An empty shell behind vacant eyes

Falling into a dark...

I'm looking to speak specifically with people who are married to or who divorced a bipolar...

Hi, I've found this site quite helpful in dealing with the rollercoaster I've been through the past year, but would like more insight into the bipolar marriage (or divorce for that matter) and the relationships between two people when once has bipolar. If you've been a caregiver or friend of a bipolar person I would love to speak with you. I'm going through a divorce from a man who has turned into a completley different person, and I...

Bipolar destroying my marriage

My husband and i met in college - we were totally in love. We finally got engaged after 4 1/2 yrs of dating, and married 2 yrs after that. We've been together for 8 1/2 years now and he was recently diagnosed. Looking back I can see the signs now. He comes from a broken family - all who have mental illnesses. But he's always been successful and for the most part loving, so i thought it skipped him. I got him a...
