I thank you both for your messages, they DID definitely encourage me.  Last week I got back some test results and the dr. informed me one&amp;#39;s iron count should be between 20 and 160----mine is 7!  Heck, that&amp;#39;s in the toilet!  She couldn&amp;#39;t explain why it&amp;#39;s so low, but is putting me in out-patient hospital June 18 (would do it sooner, but my school year ends next Friday) to do intravenous iron that will take several hours.       <title>Once.....I had a life....</title>
      <description>I was diagnosed Type 2 10 years ago.&amp;nbsp; I immediately dieted and exercised of 50 pounds. Never used meds, never wanted to.&amp;nbsp; But Kaiser HMO in CA changed all that.&amp;nbsp; I needed a simple meniscus knee surgery, but they sent me to 6 dr.&amp;#39;s for 5 different diagnosis. I finally called the CA Dept. of Hmo&amp;#39;s and after sitting and rotting for 9 mos. I rec&amp;#39;d my surgery.&amp;nbsp; But I was so weak from dragging around a 7 lb. hinged...</description>
