HEALTH INTERESTS:

Diabetes,  Valley Fever (coccidioidomycosis),  GERD,  IBS,  Anxiety/depression,  Insomnia,  RA,  OA,  scoliosis,  extensive damage L1 thru L5,  DJD,  DDD and 3 yr survivor of breast cancer

DRUGS I AM TAKING:

Imuran for RA; ,  Insulin 4-5 x per day,  Wellbutrin,  Xanax,  Arimidex (cancer med x 5 yrs) and more

ABOUT ME:

I was born in North Dakota; traveled the USA, Germany and Alaska as an army brat. My favorite side of the world is on the west because I love the different seasons and love hunting. I graduated high school in Tacom, Wash; Got my LPN license in Washington; Graduated from RN school in Western Wy Community College and University of Wyoming. I have been a nurse for a total of 40 years...mine and my father's dream :) Nursing has been my life. Presently awaiting decision on Soc Sec disability as I am now unable to perform the duties of my job. I have not worked since May 30, 2006 at which time I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had Stage 3 cancer on the left with one lumpectomy, mastectomy, chemo x 4 months, radiation x 33 treatments and hormone therapy for 5 years, then right mastectomy was to be prophylactic but turned out to be LCIS which stands for lobular carcinoma insitu which is a non-spreading cancer, however, you leave it alone and do nothing...it can grow and spread eventually... Now I know how my patients feel but nurses are patients sometimes too and have fears with questions too.
