ABOUT ME:

Difficulty swallowing for 4 months, diagnosed with Hiatal Hernia, GERD/LPRD, esophagitis, nodule on the thyroid, herniated and buldging disks in neck and maybe akalasia. They think I have developed an anxiety to food. I'm on my third set of Gastroentrologists and ENT's. I've had barrium swallow, MRI of soft tissue and bones, ultrasound, etc. They are not sure exactly what the problem is and don't know what to do with me or how to treat this. Until they stretched my esophagus last month, I was on ensure only for 3 full months. I lost 27 pounds and want this to over. My whole day revolves around what I can eat and when because my diet is very limited - mostly baby food and I have to be home to prepare it. My Zegerid (2 x daily) has to be on an empty stomach and my Reglan has to be an hour apart from the Zegerid and 1/2 hour before I eat. I need my life back. I have a husband and an adorable 4-year-old son that need me.
