ABOUT ME:

I'm 48 and a mother of 3 and a wife to a wonderful man. My symptoms have been going on for years but dx with all kinds of ailments until Oct 2008 when I had my first Stroke, later told it was a TIA-the dead feeling on my right-side lasted 6 hours. One month later I had another one that lasted 2 1/2 hours. After going thru CT scan,MRI with and without contrast of head,back,all the way down to my legs, lumber puncture, ultrasounds of heart the cart. artiries.,and some kinda of test were they went down my throat with a scope and checked my heart and of course the mountains of blood work, between 5 doctors came to the conclusion it could only be MS. I have lesions in my brain-in the parietal lobe-left side tissue. My spinal came back clear. My symptoms are a constant headache, blurred vision,pains off and on in face and all around my head and neck area, back pain,(I have deteriration of the spine),numbness in both legs and pins and needles in hands,feet,and arms, my newest is when I get up the bottom of my feet hurt and feel pressure. I have been referred to MS clinic at Shands at UF and so very glad I had my kids there at severe high risk and I trust that place completely! I was pleased to see one of their doc is on here and now feel I can start understanding alittle about all of this.
