serum creatinine

After being on Lialda for approximately 8 weeks and 8 weeks of prednisone ( off Lialda for now at instruction of dr. and finished prednisone treatment), blood work revealed an increase in my serum creatinine. I will be having a couple of kidney function tests done soon. Blood work was normal before I started taking this med. Ulcerative colitis seems to be in remission. Has anyone else experienced this affect on serum creatinine?
