Once again , it is time to update ...

Since being back in FL and having the access to my old docs , I have made some changes ..

One is getting my own space .. for myself and my dog Maxx .. it won't be much , but it will be mine alone ..

Closer to friends , familiar territory and my quiet time .. love mom , but her headaches should not and can not become mine ..

The next change , which I feel is such a postitive move , was changing neuro's .. yes, this is an issue that most of us have shared .. why do some believe in today's news and other's just shrug their shoulders ?

Well, I am back with a neuro , who dx'd me in 2001 .. Dr. Novak had been my neuro since 04/2000 ...

After a rear-end collison put me just about back to square one with disk problems in my neck and back .. that is old news .. but i still suspect that is what brought 'OUT" the MS ..

While he dx'd the MS in Nov. of 2001 .. he was honest , as an orthopedic doctor , recommended a colleague .. at first thing seemed okay .. and over time and many neuros in my many moves ..

When I made appt.s with my rheumo, Internist and neuro , i found my rheumo even more knowledgeable in MS , the internist became more updated as well ..

The neuro ?? Still did not believe in "nerve pain" , after reviewing MRI's from 2006 , still felt i was "border" not really a concern , not really much there and not really interested ..

He made my mind up for me actually .. so back to Novak !! I had a relapse going on a month .. Novak looked at the MRI's from 2003 , 2006 .. and well, was "disappointed" .. ????

So, after 9 years of holistic and TMI , I am going on Copaxone .. I am also getting, of course new MRI's .. and will be "taught" the proper wasy to inject .. but am not , oh , scared ?

I am scared of the fact that deep lesions grew into the gray matter of my brain .. and 3-4 years ago I would have gone on medicaion had even one of the 4 neuro's who read the MRI's in the last few years said something ..

Same ol' , same ol' ... circumstance has brought me about full circle .. and Novak lauded the fact that I did pretty well w/o shots .. but it is time now .. and is easier to accept when the doctor tells you it straight ..

So, moving , mri's and shots all by the end of the month ? Yup .. and I feel good about it .. grateful actually .. well, will update again soon !
