ABOUT ME:
I was tentatively diagnosed with Dercum's Disease (Adiposis Dolorosa) the Summer of 2009 by my family doctor, a very kind and understanding person who is willing to do anything he can to help me deal with the daily pain. I am currently waiting to see a rheumatologist and a neurologist to confirm the diagnosis. I was misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia (although I may have it, as well) many years ago. I began having problems with pain and fatigue in my early 20s and have gotten progressively worse over the years. The last year and a half I have been bedridden 2-3 days out of the week, dealing with chronic nerve, joint, muscle and tendon pain, muscle weakness, chronic fatigue and migraine/tension headaches. "Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life." (Psalm 42:8) "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song." (Psalm 28:7) My husband I have a mixed cattle and grain farming operation and have been married for 25 years. We have three grown children and one granddaughter. She is so precious to me that holding this little one in my arms almost makes me forget that I am in pain. We are a very closeknit family and spend as much time together as we can. I praise God for a husband and children who love and care about me and do everything they can to help me deal with this disease.
