HEALTH INTERESTS:

Rheumatoid Arthritis

DRUGS I AM TAKING:

enbrel methotrexate

ABOUT ME:

Hi i am 42 years old and a wife and a mother of three. I have been newly diagnose with RA in Nov 2008. I have been out of work since March 2009. This disease hit me like a "ton of bricks" I have a rhematologist, but getting really discourage. My therapy treatment consist of taking enbrel and methotrexate. I started these drugs in March. I had knee surgery in May 2009. I had to stop medication. I resumed medication late May 2009. I have side effects from the enbrel. The doctor suggest that I continue with medication because the benefit of the drug out weighs my rash discomfort. This would be true if the drug was giving me any relief from the RA symptoms. I know that I must give the enbrel time to work, but I am in so much discomfort. Patience, Patience, Patience!!. Taing one day at a time is becoming one moment at a time. I was told things will get better and probably so, but right now it seems so far that i can't see it.
