Zomig,  Goody Powders,  Excedrin Migraine,  anything and everything!

ABOUT ME:

I am a 49 yr. old Polio Survivor who suffers with PPS (Post Polio Syndrom) and Terrible migraines that last sometimes up to three days! They are a little better now, because I take a "Hypertension" and "Depression" medication. But, they still come around when I am over-exerted or fatigued.Before there were any new drugs on the market for stopping a migraine, I ate Excedrin's for the pain until I got Ulcers for taking so many! If you have migraines, you know you will do just about anything to stop the pain! Then came Imitrex, but it gave me chest pains, now I am on Zomig! It is good, but, it takes up to 2 hr.'s to relieve the pain! Not to mention having to pay $245 for 9-2.5mg tablets! I am furious with our health system and feel helpless alot of the time over the cost, the pain, the doctors and the Insurance Co.'s rules and regulations! I believe they are all taking advantage of people who suffer with migraines and they do not understand the pain and what comes with it! I have 2 beautiful Grandbabies,2&1/2 and 6Months old.One girl, One boy! Perfect! And I cherish them like nothing else in my life! I would just love to spend as much time as I could with them without the threat of a migraine popping up! The Polio, I can't do anything about, but, I believe that there is something out there that can relieve migraines without breaking the bank! Or, is there? I just want a normal, un-hurtful life!
