ABOUT ME:

i am a happily married mother of two daughters. my husband and i both graduated from college and have had a very happy successful life together. our daughters have both graduated college and are successful in their careers. we are proud grandparents of 22month old Ashton. i hold a degree in speech pathology and have also taught creative dramatics to elementary school children. my first breast cancer was in 1996 and was DCIS, with a mother,aunt, and sister with breast cancer i chose to have bilateral mastectomies with reconstructive surgery. my recurrence was 3months ago same breast, same place. this time it was invasive stage IIIB. the tumor was growing on scar tissue. the tumor was HER2 positive so i am on herceptin and taxol for 12 rounds. my next 12 will be with cytoxin, 5FU, and epirubicin, followed by radiation. my life really revolves around my family and my attitude is positive. i have had my share of highs and lows just like everyone each one enriches our life experience. i think gathering and using information from traditional and natural medicines is the best route for me. cancer does not control my life or my joy and i am hoping to recover.
