I have chronic nerve pain in my lower back. Had microdiscektomy in 1998 for bulging disc. Surgery went fine. Pulled muscle/ligament? three weeks after surgery during physical therapy (real smart, huh!). Have had chronic pain ever since. Have had all the tests: mri's, ct scans, myleogram, emg's, nerve blocks, spinal stimulator trial, pain pump. Nothing has worked. The worst part (other than the pain and not being able to hardly do anything!) is not knowing for sure what is the problem. Is it scar tissue or an irritated/damaged nerve? It's like having a rare disease that nobody knows what it is and nothing can be done about it! Where's Dr. House when you need him?PHOTOS:
