ABOUT ME:
I have been a police officer for the last 22 years. All of my injuries are in relation to my duties. Once I turned 40 years old, injuries that I thought had healed resurfaced and have caused me to have 10 surgeries since August, 2006. I will not have any surgery on my back and my shoudlers will never be the same again from so many dislocations. My left ankle was severely broken back in 1990 required two surgeries to repair. As recently as 1/31/09 I had an MRI as pain in my ankle has caused me to start walking with a cane. This MRI revealed that one of the tendons has completely torn away and there is a cyst growing out of the joint that was broken the size of a jelly bean. There is probably another surgery ahead of me shortly to correct this problem. Tendons in my shoulders continue to give way even after surgery due to the severity of the injuries.
