HEALTH INTERESTS:

Migranes

DRUGS I AM TAKING:

Lithium 150mg 3x daily,  Effexor XR75mg 2xdaily,  Klonopin .5mg 3xdaily,  Keppra 500mg 1 1/2 3xdaily,  Nadol 20mg 1/2 pill 2xdaily,  methergine .2mg 2 tablets 3x daily unless I Inject DHE at 1mm before a dosage then i would not take the methergine next dose,  my abortives are DHE MAX 2 times a Week then Skelaxin 800mgtablets up to 3x daily but not to be mixed with my other abortive of Norflex 100mg tablets taken 2x daily but not within 8 hrs of Skelaxin - these will be tapered possibly in 3 more weeks because I was in the hospital for 2weeks on IV Infusion to get off of all my other drugs I had been on topamam,  opiates,  triptans and antidepressants,  so I am just in Stage 1 but my headaches are already 60% better and will continue to improve over 3 to 6 months,  also I am following a very strick diet because I don't know for sure if I have food triggers yet because I could not go a day without a screaming pain in the head,  I was in rebound headache mode

ABOUT ME:

I have had headaches since I was 5 years old and now I am 47 years old, the best news is that they are trying new medications and realizing the disease end of this nasty beast - but I never gave up and I went to many Neurologist, Headache Specalist and in the last 6 months a Neurologist wrote a letter to my insurance co, and basically said this Dr. Saper in Michigan I believe can help her and they approved it even though he was not on my plan, what a Gift from Above, and everyone there in the hospital was in pain like me and for the first time I felt to understood and not alone at all and what an awesome experience that was - I have tried many things in the past as we all have, if someone would say try this for your pain I did - ANYTHING!!!!!!!!- for relief - and nothing so far has given me this kind of relief - someday I hope to be like Terry where I will have maybe 3 a month, I know it is a journey but wow what a wonderful journey to want to live again!!!
