HEALTH INTERESTS:
Anything involving MS (Multiple Silliness). New, old and the good old "This works for me" approaches. I have a few age questions because of the action of whether to balme the symptom on thr MS or age thing.
DRUGS I AM TAKING:
Oh man! I get my care from the VA and they like meds. For general therapy I do Copaxone, I like the subq ant the lower neutralizing antibodies. Then I have a general assorted jumble of medications that changes every few months. After 32 years with with this silly disease I have rotated through every thing out there. Some I have liked and some I have disliked. Some were assimilated by the MS-Borgs and had to be reevaluated or changed. Those MS -Borgs try real hard to assimilate you in to a 100% MS person. But I will not be assimilated. So to fight them off I am currently doing, A vitamin array some in the mega-dose range, & the body knows when I forget them. Then add to that Doxazosin, Gabaprntin, Naproxen, Busoirone, Cynbalta, and Diazepam ti quell the leg spasms & get some sleep. I have to go through a every 3 or 4 month tweaking of these, and some times I do what I call my 'Cleasening Time'. One of those change ups to fool the MS-Borgs. But like I said after 32 years I've done them all. Now if they could only come up with something reliable for the fatigue, I'd be in 7th heaven. I've even thought of trying the old back in the 60's Bennie's. Get me some thing for the fatigue and I could handle every thing else.
ABOUT ME:
Who am I? Well that depends on your view, I'm a poor excentric, some what crazy, afraid of nothing (Redheads maybe). As far as "My" ms goer I constantly test my limits and challange the line. Mu motto is maybe I can't do it like I use too, but I'll still try my best. It's like my nose snubbing to my MS of getting my motorcycle lisense renewed every time it's due, even though I knoe better to ride again. But I haven't let the MS know that yet, I lie to it a lot.
Anothet thing if your a fellow MS'er don't even come to me wining about what you can't do, or tell me you haven't learned new and wonderful things from your MS. I often say I wish I had known what the MS has taught me before I got it.
