We started 2009 started with lots of hope and energy. I was very excited to turn 50 in March. I just needed to find out what was going on with the swelling in my hands and feet. A week after my birthday I was diagnosed with RA. I was prescribed methotrexate and went into remission after about 3 months. In September I had surgery for another medical issue. I then had a flare up that was like being hit by a bus. I saw another rheumatologist for a second opinion and found out that not only did I have RA but Ankylosing Spondylitis and Psoriatic arthritis. I am now on Humira, plaquenil and methotrexate.PHOTOS:
