Crisis situation

Long story short - I can't find my husband, I can't get a hold of him by phone (he won't pick up his cell) and he is getting progressively worse. He said he needs time to "fix his head" on his own. I offered words of comfort and I will support and help him "NO, I can do it on my own", he moved out two weeks ago to "fix himself", he seemed like he was doing really well, and now in the past 3...

From Mania to Depression

Hi again everyone - my husband just came off his mania and I am waiting for the "crash" but it doesn't seem to be happening. He just seems down and really tired. Is this because the meds he is one is preventing a total "crash" like before when he wasn't on meds? Any insights welcome!

A little clarity

Hi everyone, since my last post I have gotten a little enlightenment from my bipolar husband. To sum up what has been going on...he has been stable with medication for the last 5 years. About 7 months ago he started into a mania state, then crashed hard. He went to the doctor who prescribed him his Risperdal to take in conjunction with his other meds. He took it for a little bit, started to seem like his old self again...

Hi - I'm back. My husband (who I have been married to for 16 years) had been leaving and coming back for about 4 months. He went through a really bad episode this past summer and now it has turned into something else. He went to the doctor and the doctor said he is not depressed, he is going through emotional turmoil. Now he has moved back out again stating he doesn't want to feel this way...

Can someone explain to me about my husband's behavior?

Hi - my husband has been living with bipolar for 7 years. He has gone through 3 episodes of mania then depression within this time frame. When he goes through an episode it is very emotionally trying for everyone. I am very supportive of him (as much as he will let me be) but I would love it if someone could answer these 2 questions for me. I have asked him, but he really can't explain it to me.1. At the start of an episode, he...
