Dear RA,

Dear Rheumatoid Arthritis,
I've had enough of you. This isn't really working for me, and I'm getting rid of you. I used to be happy, I used to enjoy my life. I used to smile. I'm tired of the pain, the weakness, and the lack of sleep. I'm tired of worrying about drinking when I just turned 21. I'm tired of being cautious. I used to be outgoing, I used to want to go out, I used to be fun.
Now my life is ruled by medications,...

Learning Hope

"Learning Hope"

Hope is not a word in my vocabulary. It never has been. The way I see it, it’s difficult to have hope. When you have hope, and then things don’t go the way you thought, it makes you upset. But if you were expecting the worst all along, then you can’t possibly be caught off guard.

The dictionary defines hope as “the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn...

Update on my Resveratrol Experiment

So far, I've noticed a small improvement with my joints, but its unclear as to if it was from the resveratrol or just my methotrexate starting to kick in. It did give me more energy though. I was taking the recommended dose on the bottle, 100mg twice daily. I've heard of some taking more than that to see a change, but for now, its been helping a bit.

My Resveratrol Experiment with RA

I actually read about resveratrol a few months ago (before my most recent flare up).
I finally got some from the vitamin store, but I wasn't going to take them because I was worried about
adverse effects on my Rheumatoid Arthritis.

But when I googled it, quite a few people site resveratrol as being something that helped their RA, and some even claim
that it put them into remission. So I'm going to try it, starting...
