I am Ruhari Abdullah married have bipolar since a long time-misdiagnosed early pre 1977 On lithium since then, refused to take the drug as a protest against the poor treatment of psychiatric out patients ,mental health system in general.Went back on after an episode while finishing first year BA Social Work degree in 1985,Been on it ever since.Had mixed episodes since 1 serious before marriage,3 days no sleep,mo meds high as a kite, inevitably got into trouble, hospitalised, behaving,to a point. Given up trying re educate the general population of the good things of a so called disorder.I am concentrating on a Diploma in Therapeutic Massage and part time acting, music work ,thats enough. Whilst maintaining my physical symptoms with lithium.I believe there is a greater calling for all of us in this world. But that we must first apply the common sense laws of rationality and personal responsiblity to my life.I dont be a jackass all the time-take ya meds mon-get some sleep-eat some food yo!.Put in some work yall. And not to be stultified with a label-which is perhaps is unwise to believe 100% we are human first and foremost not a label. The label portends to the make up of the mood-not to the individual person who is so much more than a label.
