Early morning BP rise!

My wife has been taking BP meds for years but of late, she has been having readings like 186/120 and 156/104. We have consulted our doctor and he has changed her meds. I was just wondering if anyone out in the community has had such problems and what were your solutions. My wifes' readings go down with he morning meds. This morning the readings went down to normal in just minutes after morning prayer.
