Guilt and whatever puts us down

I don't do guilt anymore. There are many people around me who like to think that I don't do enough or that I just blame my Bipolar disorder when I don't do things their way...

I don’t give a dam anymore if family or anybody judges me for taking my time to get up every time I fall into depressive mode or just have mood swings.

I do try not to show how I feel, it takes a lot of strength to manage that, while I´m...

DON'T BE AFRAID TO CHANGE

I have depression symptoms all my life.

My 1st deepest depression hit me when I was only 16 years old and it last for 18 months, with psychotic thoughts and alot of anxiety made me afraid of even go outside the house.

I've always thought it was about my life and all the bad things happening...
So, like many people say, " that's life, nothing we can do about it"

Later I understood that we collect...

I want to share this with all of you, hope it helps...

I was feeling very sick last week, it was the worst week I had in many years, almost lost my sanity for good.

I am reading a book called Depression, by Dr. Paul Hauck, and after taking 2 days just to sleep, because I was exausted, I start reading this book that I have for many years but I always thought it was a book that would be hard to read and put me more depressed LOL
So far from the truth...

It's a great...

Fighting not to lose control

My condition, Bipolar II, it's taking a toll on me.
I'm so nervous for the last 4 months that sometimes I think I'm going insane.

I have so much stress and feel so much pressure to do well that I don't know if I can do it anymore.
I think that with age I sure don't get better and memory loss is not helping either.
I'm taking suplements for my memory and taking my meds for bp, but I still can't control my brain when it...

Bipolars and motherhood

Hi my brothers and sisters bps!!

I wish to ask if any woman with BP got pregnant after age 40? And in general how do you coupe with all the hard work of raising your children. Another very importante question, it has to do with your feelings towards your children/child. Since we take so many meds to control our emotions and mood swings, and like me, for depression as well, how that affects your feelings and your relationship with...

It doesn't get any easier

I'm now 43 years old going to be 44 in 2 months and it doesn't get any better with age, on the contrary...I started a course last month and it's another battle to memorise all the things I need.
It's very hard to be stable emotionally and that's why I decided to dedicate myself only to this course and to move on with my life since I've lost 8 years of my life being very sick before I got diagnosed with bipolar type 2.
One thing was very hard...

Coming out here and share once more...

I need to vent here because it's where I feel I will be heard and understood by my brothers and sisters. For a while I didn't come here because I was overwhelmed already I didn't wanted to bring that here and make people feel even worse.

I could never give support in that state of mind so I waited to feel better and vent a little here and know how you're doing.

I'm trying to get back to the" world of the living" but it...

Losing control

I sleep well (finally) and all seemed to go well until yesterday when my brain started to be weird like making me feel I am losing my mind I don't know why.
It became very hard to focus and I just can't even coupe with little basic things without thinking I am losing it! Dam it what is happening?

I was not sure if I should write this and bring it here but I do feel so alone and lost in this I have no idea what's going on. I am afraid...

What's next?

I'm in a very bad mood today. I have an appointment with my new pdoc and she is incompetent so I expect only the worse. She doesn't even know me and in the 1st appointment she prescribed 3x the doses I was taking just because she thought I was taking too little considering my height and weight.

I told her I was ok with the medication as it was but she changed it and even changed one of the meds to another I had to pay for and is exactly...

To Chris1967

Hi Chris,
I only write on this site occasionally I pass by and read what is important out here. I don't see the need of private messages when there's nothing private about them. This is how we all do it, we don't feel the need to share or to be here all the time.
I'm glad you are feeling better, it's difficult to do it but eventually we manage to stabilize our mind and emotions.
Take care Chris see you around.
