ABOUT ME:
I'm a disabled nurse with atypical facial pain, allodynia, tinnitus, myofascial pain syndrome, photosensitivity, phonosensitivity, chronic migraines, PTSD, OCD, borderline personality disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. I was diagnosed with the AFP in December of 2005. I am on disability after fighting my first denial.
I am married with three grown children and 9 grandchildren. I love to garden, sew, used to travel a lot; I currently have 45 chickens that keep me busy and I am trying to help contribute to our income a bit by doing some sewing for people. I make quilts, purses, tote bags, cloth diapers and lots of other things.
We live in a rural area which is great for my sensitivity to sound but bad for physician access. I guess it all has a tradeoff, eh?
I also enjoy writing and find it very therapeutic. It helps me be able to express how I'm feeling better than the spoken word does many times.
Hubby was with the airlines for 32 years and now works in a factory thanks to 9-11, so our married life ( we just married in 2000) has been full of ups and downs. I'm just glad he's been there for me, and I for him. We've been very good for each other.
