I am a widowed mother of one 17-year-old son. I was diagnosed with bipolar I in June, 1982. I am taking a boat load of medications, and I am in the process of trying to get weaned off several of them - or at least lowering the dosages of some of them. Some of my interests include: avid reader of books, magazines and newspaper articles; I love to "surf the net" and find sites that deal with bipolar; I also enjoy watching America's (Britain's) Got Talent and Dancing with the Stars; I want to become a volunteer at the local animal shelter (I have three cats at home); I am on Social Security Disability Income (since April, 2008), and I hope to get a part-time job doing something in the human or animal services field. I love meeting people who share my common interests, and I like to help people, in any way I can.PHOTOS:
