ABOUT ME:

Prior to being stricken with this hideous 'disease' I was a long-distance bike rider, avid swimmer and enjoyed hiking. This 'disease' drastically altered my lifestyle! Not only in the physical sense but also emotionally and intellectually. Over the past 22yrs. I have become 'challenged' in almost every aspect of my life and now may also be dealing with MS. I decided to join this community not only to offer encouragement but to communicate with others who deal with chronic pain issues and receive encouragement. The 'outside world' just doesn't get it and it becomes extremely frustrating when those around you don't understand and tend to make light of your situation. I have always been an active, positive, and upbeat person...I hope to be able to regain some of who I used to be through joining this community.
