I Need Advice Please

I am a little confused about this quandry, so I figured you guys could help me out.
I'll do the short version for the most part Ü. I have been sick for 3 months now. I went to my Drs. last Tuesday for the oral thrush, he gave me a prescription that I have been taking and am on my way to recovery Ü.

Now is the quandry part. While being sick my sugar was always high-no matter what I ate. I am a T2. Now for the last 4 days I can...

I am still so stressed!

Nothing bad has happened today-I just feel so stressed over my Diabetes. I got up this morning around 6:00 a.m. I checked my fasting sugar and it was an amazing 112! I ate 2 "FiberOne bars" and went back to sleep around 7:30 a.m. Usually I stay up for the day. But today I didn't feel like dealing with the world. So I slept till 2:30 p.m. It's not hard for me to sleep-it's my "escape." I am on depression meds and have been for...

I am so tired of having Diabetes

Just venting here as I am completely frustrated! I have really been trying hard to watch what I eat, watching carbs, calories etc.. I am T2 and take 2,000 mg of Metformin and 45 mg of Actos daily. I have been a diabetic for 7 years this month.

But nothing seems to be working any more! My Fasting sugar this morning was a surprising 115. Since I can't eat grits or oatmeal and I can't eat eggs every day, I decided maybe a bowl of...

Having diabetes and being sick on top of it

Diabetes is hard enough to deal with-without being sick. But together is terribly miserable. I caught oral thrush from my Mom about 5 days ago. I am on oral Nystatin which clears it up. But it is painful to have thrush. I take it 4 x a day for 10 days. Then 2 day's ago I woke up in the middle of the night, with my whole left side of my face swollen. I couldn't even open my left eye. It was from an abcessed tooth. So now I am on Cipro...

Introducing Myself Ü

First of all, I am so glad I found this group! My name is Donna. I am type 2 diabetic going on 6 years come July. I was first diagnoised (sp?) while at a hospital with my Mom. Her husband was having surgery and I stayed to keep Mom company. I had not been feeling well for a while, but didn't know why?

While sitting with Mom I started sweating terribly, I felt like I was in a fog, and I couldn't hear what people were...
