My name is Shannon Terry. I live in Dallas , TX. with my wonderful husband, 13 year old daughter, and my other 4 children - 3 dogs and a very obnoxious cat. I am sort of a gym rat, as my husband calls it. I like to work out, run, kick box, anything that keeps me moving. Staying in shape, and on the lighter side helps me deal with my pain so much better. I have a lot more problems than just Migraine, as I'm sure many of you do as well. I was born with 2 birth defects one in my eyes - a still undiagnosed Macular Dystrophy - which gives me poor vision, but more importantly makes me so sensitive to light that I even where sunglasses inside somedays to avoid the light triggers. The second is a neurological malformation called an Arnold Chiari Type I malformation. It took a very long time to get this properly diagnosed and I had brain surgery w/ a lovely 2 year recovery about 2.5 years ago. It helped with many things , but still left me with the intractable daily Migraine and Fibromyalgia, Allodynia, Constant insomnia,and possible Narcolepsy/Cataplexy that was missed with all the other craziness going on. In general, I love being with my family and running my very social child around. I LOVE the movies!!! Can't get enough! I like to read, hang out with friends, a bit of a shopaholic - passion for fashion, and of course always date night with hubby-love good food and Dallas has plenty of that. Pretty upbeat and happy and trying to get the most out of my not so perfect life... Oh! love to visit new places..... I just read this and I sound kinda' boring - HaHa! I'm not I swear!!!PHOTOS:
