I am a lifelong sufferer of migraine with aura and diagnosed with FHM . Both my mother, father and brother have or had severe migraines, but I am the worst in the family. I have had multiple strokes caused by migraine referred to as migrainous infarctions that were confirmed by CT and MRI by 2 separate neurologists who specialize in migraine. I have been told that this condition is quite rare, but I've also read in some migraine groups that migraine may be responsible for a quarter of all strokes in younger people. I'm more inclined to think that it is not that common as I have yet to find another person with confirmed diagnosis of migrainous infarction on any of these groups. I would be interested in finding anotherperson with this type of migraine to compare notes and treatments. Anybody out there?PHOTOS:
