Off of Topa, now trying Relpax

I went to the follow up with my neuro today and told him about all the wacky stuff with Topa and how I don't like it, so he tol dme to stop taking it, and suggested this triptan, Relpax, 40 mg. But I was just reading how expensive triptans are so now I'm upset since I'm broke and can't afford another expensive medication!! Anyway, I did convince him to send me for an MRI (I'm an adoptee so I don't really know my birth...

I think the Topa is making me Loopy!!!

Wow!!! Yesterday I had such a crying spell I cannot even begin to tell you about it! I cried for about 2 hours, off and on! Fighting with my boyfriend, etc...I don't like it at all! I know I read about this from others. but combined with my impending period, I don't think I want to deal with this side effect AT ALL!!! I follow up with the neuro next week - on the 11th. Does anyone have any advice???

Much better day today

I hate the Topamax. It makes my stomach hurt... My right leg has also been hurting for some reason. I'm worried about kidney stones and glaucoma. I feel as though I am much too young for this stress. But, on the other hand, I acquired a couple of Percocets last night so my headache is gone! FINALLY! I knew they would do the trick!!! My neck still hurts so I have to find time to get the Xray done that the Neuro wants me to...

Starting migraine treatment AGAIN

I'm finally trying to get treatment for my migraines/headaches again, after having them off and on for about 8 years. This time they've been here for about 8 months, off and on. The one I'm having Today, has been here 3 weeks as of TODAY. yes... I went to a neurologist today and he put me on Topamax. I'm not really happy about waiting 3-4 months to see if it works. I've tried Imitrex, Amitryplene (or however you spell that),...
