ABOUT ME:
Diagnosed 1/2005 at age 59 with DCIS, grade 3, 5x7 cm. Very lucky - no chemo, no radiation, ER+. Mastectomy, tissue expander, silicone implant, several seromas, capsular contracture, capsulotomy, very bad ripples all the way across the top of my implant. Ok in clothes, unhappy looking in the mirror every morning, might try fat injections. Regardless, I would still have the implant. I wasn't a candidate for flaps or Diep, and I wouldn't want to be without anything.
