Vista de Vida [View of Life]

This is the first piece I composed for choir & full orchestra. I wrote the horn section for my friend Cameron who played it with me. If you listen closely you can hear me playing the guitar & piano.

Sunset River

Sunset is my favorite time of day. It's when I'm most relaxed and at peace with the world. I composed this piece while contemplating a river at sunset. Enjoy listening. Love ~ Jeannika

I Had Thought that Life was Over

I've been sick most of my life. I often cope with illness through music. In 1966, at age 11, after a particularly difficult year, I wrote this song. 40 years later I finally scored & notated it. I hope you enjoy listening. Love~ Jeannika

I've been using music to help me transend pain and illness. I started writing this song 4 years ago, & just finished. It's dedicated to a friend who helped save my life & brought me back to music.

The view from my Walker ...

My time is in the morning, afternoon, and evening walks I take with Harvey. We walk up and down our street, greeting our friends the birds, laughing at the cats, waving to the neighbors, talking to the folks brave enough to walk up and pet Harvey. Harvey walking "me" I always have my camera with me, ready to photograph any of the multitude of wonders Harvey leads me to. Some days are special ......

Once in a Life ~ a musical journey

Over the years I've spent a lot of time at doctors and in hospitals. In 2003, after having been discharged from ICU, I told there was no treatment for my disorder ... that it would eventually kill me ... and I should learn to live with it until I die. That day I made the decision to never again be hospitalized, regardless of how ill I should become. I told my friends and family I wanted to die at home, in the comfort of my own...
