My home is in the lovely midwest - I've lived other places, but always seem to navigate back to Michigan. My bipolar diagnosis came at the age of 32. I have raised 4 children and they are all fine adults. I also have two grandchildren, ages 5 and 3. They are my best medicine. I always come away with a funny story. Yep, kids say the darndest things!
My husband is my monitor and my rock. He is continually there for me even though my illness is tough for him to understand. I am grateful and blessed.
I have been reasonably and thankfully healthy for the past 4 years - no hospitalizations, no out-of-control highs, no unbearable lows. I'm in recovery - I always will be.
I am passionate about support groups. And I am passionate about working toward good bipolar health. My participation here at bipolar connect is part of that process.
