US Army Veteran, "Remigton Raider" from Korea '69-'70, retired Vo-Tech Guidance Counselor at age 47 in 1992, co-own and operate a shooting range but don't get there often anymore as I'd like. I belong to NRA (Life) and subscribe to the Cast Bullet Association and other organizations and at one time was shooting regular matches at my range. I recently took and passed the Ham Radio Technician (March) and General tests (August), have a new radio and 2M/70cm dual-band antenna but no HF antenna yet, counting on Ham radio to keep me busy at home (KF5FJZ), sleep odd hours and only go to sleep when I have nodded off two times. I have 4 desks in my office, all full of something to work on constantly and a small outside shop with AC and heat and I will work on most things that don't work well, fix what can be fixed and discard the rest. I have things not yet finished from 5 years ago, typical, shop shelves look like an avalanche is going to happen.
I had odd symptoms in Army and at VA physical in 1970, failed a 3rd Class FAA physical due to vertigo in 1974, but no diagnoses until Sx's got worse and went back to VA and Univ. Miss. Med. Center (they thought was MS?) in 1984. My Mayo Dx (1988) was atypical spinocerebellar degeneration; another Dx was spinal cord stenosis (2001) and lately VA is looking at PPMS with spinal cord stenosis, atrophy of cerebellum and entire brain, no plaques or maybe "those two small ones and maybe one a little larger," hard to tell if not strokes or whatever. Whatever, I have a solid good attitude but not "Strong like Bull!" anymore, have a carry permit for a handgun if can't run or fight well.
