It was very painfull and sometimes hard to get up stairs. My VA doctor took me off of Hydrochlorothiazide (25mg) which was one of the three medications I was taking for hypertension. She proscribed a potent anti-inflamitory which I immediately took. Within 1 hour I had no more pain in my knee. I took one more anti-inflamitory pill the next day.
