DRUGS I AM TAKING:

Zometa,  Lupron(infusion once a month); Arimidex

ABOUT ME:

I was diagnosed 2007/2008, two months after I stopped breastfeeding, with invasive breast cancer. Started with a lumpectomy, chemo, bilateral mastectomy [immediate reconstruction [expanders], radiation therapy. Once the expanders were replaced with implants, the incision on the affected breast opened leaving the implant exposed. Since then, I had another implant replacement with the same results. The plastic surgeon attributes these problems to radiation therapy on the breast. Currently, I have no implant in my right breast and I am getting ready for a latissimus dorsi flap [so that area can heal]+ implant procedure. This procedure was postpone.. see below.

During my routine checkup, my oncologist ordered a PET scan and it turns out the cancer has spread to my lumbar and L3 vertebrate.  I did 10 rounds of radiation and my hormonal therapy was changed. I am now taking a monthly infusion [zometa, lupron] and daily dosage of arimidex.
