I woke up with pain in my hips again yesterday! The last time it was in my hips was hell I couldn't walk for two days and the pain was just the worst. I was in bed for most of those two days. This time was different I had some trouble walking but with the help of a walker! (The walker was my mom's my sister gave it to me just to help she said that way if Mike is not home you can go to the bathroom on your own) It helped! I was moving around the...

Second RA Doc visit

I saw my RA doc yesterday! He increased my medicine and said I'm off work for 4 more weeks because the arthritis is still bad in my hands. I'm ready to feel back to myself again or as close as I can now! He said we are on the right track! But not there yet! Soon I hope! He was glad that I have been still trying to move as much as I can. He liked that I had a journal to show him how I've been doing this past...

Finding way to live with RA is getting better!

I have been on the methotrexate for three weeks now. I'm starting to feel a little more in control of my life again. When I want to go out at night I have started to take a nap in the afternoon. I have been really trying to work on eating a healthy diet. I ordered a meditation CD Mindfulness for beginners. (Still waiting for it to come) "Thanks Lene" I've been moving as much as I can even if it's just walking around the back yard a little....

Finding ways to help control RA

I had some shoulder pain last night. I was having a hard time sleeping! I read that mediation can help when you're experiencing pain! I put some soft relaxing music on the CD player in the bed room and put some lavender scent in the room! That really helped me fall asleep. Still no side effects from the medicine so that's good. I known it take time for the medicine to get build up in my system to start helping! I'm trying to hang in there until...

laughter is the best medicine

I went out last night and had a great time! I found out that laughter is the best medicine. The only bad thing was shaking hands with people, a few of them had a very strong grip and it really hurt. I was a little sore today.
