I have been keeping busy with work and family. In general, my jaw is doing well. The problem that i have is the muscle flaps... i get headaches in the temperal areas... if you put your hands on each side of your head and move your mouth, those are the muscles that hurt. The tmj area is fine.. no problem at all. You dont know how much it took just for me to make an appt. and i actually went..I am deathly afraid of the dentist. I really liked everyone in the office. The young girl had problems taking xrays, so the dentist came in and did them. It went fine until one of the last xrays in the back... i started gagging.. I was going to pick my sister up, and we were going to take the train to boston. All of a sudden, i couldnt shift my car.. i panicked!!.. I ended up going for a hearing test which proved that i need hearing aides. My left ear is worst, so that is the one i will get an aide for. By the way, they cost at least $1500.00. I will have to save for it. I ended up going back to work on April 10th, AND started a new job. I had been at my old job for 11 years. I'm healing well. My opening is getting wider and wider. Not much pain anymore. My head feels so light. Everything my surgeon told me would happen has come to pass. My only complaint is the my hearing hasnt improved in my left ear. Next week i am going to have a hearing test done. I only have a few more weeks left before i go back to work.
