I am 50 yrs old and retired from my job of 31 years in January 2011. Retirement was supposed to be the start of a new life! I was widowed in 2004 after 24 years of marriage to my high school sweetheart. He died from Brain Cancer and it was an awful way to watch your loved one die.

I have 2 adult kids and my daughter just had my first grandchild in Nov 2011!! She is the light of my life!

I had TVT surgery in Dec 2009 and again in April 2011 and it has turned into a living nightmare! So many complications!!! What was supposed to be the best years of my life have turned into pain and frustration...

But I have battled many things in my life and I am not a quitter so I will battle this head on like everything else I have battled. I am often daunted, but NEVER defeated!!!
