My Dad was an undiagnosed Bipolar I, mania, rage,promiscuity, periods of black moods ,died of AIDS. My mother is in denial and has never mentioned the word bipolar in the 15 years since my diagnosis. I was diagnosed as depressed at age 18 and was not diagnosed bipolar II until the age of 34. I have two advanced degrees but I have difficulty controlling my emotions, I have fibromyalgia as well. My 16 year old daughter is showing signs of Bipolar and I am determined that she will live a full life despite it. I will attempt to get an adolescent psychiatrist who specializes in Bipolar and CBT.We will do CBT alone and together. I have severe depressions every 10 years that last from 6 months to 2 years at a time. I answer questions that I have personal experience with but always mention to seek the advice of a professional. I will help all those I can to overcome the challenges of a Bipolar life.PHOTOS:
