saw new Neurologist yesterday

I had my first apointment with my new neurologist yesterday. She was very thorough in her questioning of my migraine history which goes back 20 some years. Trying to compare a headache from 20+ years ago to recent ones was difficult but it helped her to understand me and my type(s) of headache.

I say types because Dr. H. believes that I have 2 types going on. First the Classic Migraine which I get a few times a year. I...

Finally having some relief from constant migraine

After months of non-stop migraine I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I have known for a while the MSG was a big trigger as were almost all chemical odors. I had been avoiding MSG as it was listed in foods, but was still having lots of headaches. Then I picked up a book at the library's used book sale about food sensitivity in kids who have ADD. Lo and behold, there are a lot of the same...

Finally some RELIEF!

I have suffered from migraines for years. They eased for several years and then returned full force 5 years ago. For quite a while it was just several a month, but recently I had a spell that lasted 5 weeks.

Fortunately I have a very understanding husband, my children are 10 & 12 and very capable of taking care of themselves, but still we suffered. Until this past Sunday I hadn't been able to be in church for 4...

Intro to forum

Hi,
I'm not new to migraine, but havn't intro'd myself that I can recall.

I've suffered migraine on and off for 20+ years. I had a respite for about 8-10 years while my kiddos were very young, and when my youngest turned about 3 or 4 I got slammed again.

I'm currently doing pretty well. I take prozac 40 mg per day as a preventative, I also take "Migrelief" which is an herbal combo that has really helped...
