My symptoms are not under control yet despite changes in lifestyle, religiously following my medication regimen, eliminating fragrance from beauty products and practically turning my house inside out to Minimize allergens.  No family history or prior health issues before diagnosis.  The only familial connection is unfortunately both my parents were smokers.  This is the only thing I can attribute to my having asthma.  I am always short of breath to some degree.  This started with fatigue, shortness of breath, low-grade fevers and wheezing.  I then developed a mycoplasma pneumonia last spring.  I fianlly insisted on a pulmonary consult.  It was then my suspicions were confirmed and appropriate treatment was started.  Perhaps it is a post-viral symdrome or untreated, latent-asthma still not under control?
