ABOUT ME:

I am a 43 year old Mother of Seven. Four years ago, at 16 our first born son (now 20) was diagnosed with bi-polar. One month ago my husband diagnosed as bi-polar II. After 21 years of marriage we separated the middle of July. I've moved into an apartment with 5 of the seven children and have disappointed to learn my husband has not obtained professional help. He has decided to self medicate with alcohol (after 18 years of sobriety), pot and pain medication (he receives for his Advanced Osteo Arthritis). I've been sidelined from work due to a herniated disc in my back. Usually, I am involved with my own tennis and softball teams plus the kids activities. Now, I have the time to really educate myself about this and other mental health issues and set up therapy for myself, my husband, son as well as family therapy.
