Tamoxifin; Methotrexate,  Folic Acid,  Vitamin D,  Diovan,  Atenolol,  Topamax

ABOUT ME:

I was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago while trying to get a simple breast cyst treated. The cancer was found on a mammogram and I had 2 lumpectomies followed by 4 rounds of chemo and 7 weeks of radiation. Now having sort of settled through the constant fear that runs through one's mind, I've gone in for my physical and now need to have breast MRI. We're hoping it's just scar tissue from my past procedures. But in all honesty, I'm scared. I also had a severely painful pelvic exam which also necessitates further investigation. Like they say, once you have cancer, nothing can ever be simple. For the first year or so, it was difficult to live with a positive attitude. Course, walking around bald sort of identified me as a cancer patient. People also told me my skin gave me away. They said I had "chemo skin." Now I have "chemo brain." But my kids are healthy and every day I wake up with a pulse, I count myself blessed. God has a purpose and a plan for me and we'll figure out together how to use this disease to bless others. I'd love to correspond with anyone who has gone through or is going through the cancer battle. You can never have too much support.
