for any addicts out there

I go to NA meetings daily, but decided to go to a Pills Anonymous meeting last night, thinking maybe I could connect a little bit more.
Ohhhhh no. That's not recovery, that's martyrdom. There was quite a bit of actual "one-god" religion involved, and one girl said that if god's plan for her life was to spend the rest of it in pain, then she'd have to accept that.
Sorry, if you believe in a loving god, that can't be right. What god would expect...

chronic pain and addiction/recovery

I don't know if there's anyone else on here with this....but I know I'm not the only one out there, so maybe someone has some ideas for me.
Chronic lower back and leg pain/numbness. Always treated with pain meds. Stopped meds 19 days ago because wasn't sure anymore if I was using them for pain in my body, or pain in my mind. Taking more than the prescribed dose. WAY more. So now in NA and working on recovery.
I let my pain mgmt doctor know...

"relations" with my boyfriend

This is a really sensitive issue, and should probably be handled through private messaging (if I can find out how it works!) but if anyone can help, has ideas, etc.
First, I want to say that my boyfriend is a sweetheart and I am very, very lucky to have him in my life. We'd been dating less than a year when these problems started and he's never been anything less than supportive. Besides the medical issues he's an angel in so many other ways. I...

drug strengths

I have a quick question. My doctor is giving me percocet 5/325 every 6-8 hours. It's not working---wears off in about three hours and I end up sucking down advil and lying on an icepack.
I asked him for a higher strength or to make it 4-6 hours, or to give me a stronger med. He insists that percocet is as strong as it gets, and that 4-6 hours is too much.
Here's my question. There ARE stronger drugs than perc, right? And has anyone had it at...
