Sudden Rise in Blood Pressure

I have always had normal blood pressure in the range of 112-120/65-70. I hadn't checked it in a few months and all of a sudden it has been in the range of 136-149/85-90. I'm a bit concerned as to the reason for this. I've been feeling fine. Does anyone have some ideas as to why this might be. I've always been very healthy my whole life. I am a 54 yr. old femaile.
