ABOUT ME:

I was diagnosed August 15, 2008 with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. It was at an early stage but on the agressive side of the Bloom Richardson scale. I lost all three of my sisters to breast and ovarian cancer over 20 years ago. The family history is the biggest factor in my decision to have a bilateral mastectomy Sept. 3, 2008. I am BRCA1 positive as well as my youngest daughter and at least 9 other relatives. Many more are yet to be tested.
