I was a very vibrant busy happy joyous person till my accident. Now I feel as though I am a burden to the ones I love. I can't work. which killed my self esteem. The worst part is I can not play with my grandkids like I did with my first grandchild. Just trying to pick up a sheet of paper or opening a door is like a marothon and hurts so much. The measurment of pain from 1-10 is a joke at times. just pushing a key on this is a killer at times. After 5 years I finally won my disability. I just wish( even though I would not wish it on my worst enemy) that the doctors could really feel what I do. I looked for 6 months when my insurance changed for a new doctor. I had him 5 months and he has swithcd to a new practice and just told me I have 23 days to find a new dr. Talk about a breakdown in the dr office. So many dr are gettingto scared to treat people. I do not want to go back on the roller coaster of vicodin, ultram, soma, percocet and all the others that make you a space cadet. This med does not cross the blood brain barrier and I never appear stoned out of my mind.
