Merely Me
  • Merely Me, Health Guide
  • Gender: Female
  • Bio: I am a mother, a writer, and now an MS patient

Multiple Sclerosis,  seizure disorders,  depression,  autism,  diet,  exercise

I am currently not taking any drugs.

I just got diagnosed with MS in October of 2007 although my very first symptom of Optic Neuritis happened over ten years ago. Right now I am trying to find ways to cope with the come and go symptoms of this mysterious disease. I have found the best way to handle this is to seek out others who are going through the same thing. It helps so much to know that I am not alone. I have had many life experiences ranging from having a mother who has schizophrenia, to dealing with my own depression and Multiple Sclerosis, and also parenting two boys, my youngest having Autism. My wide range of life experience has led me to discover my greatest passion, which is writing. I am now a published writer and I wish to use my love for writing to reach out to others who may be traveling a similar path. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Special Education. I am also very close to obtaining my Master's degree in Social Work with only ten credits to go. My hope is to go back to school to finish my degree as well as pursue my writing endeavors. I really want to make a difference and help others who are also dealing with lifelong challenges.
