my 7 year old daughter has recently been diagnosed with juvenille idiopathic osteoporosis.She first presented with a slight left sided limp and after various tests that were normal and 7 consultants across 3 specialities later they done a dexa scan which showed severe osteoporosis (0.4) they then found the compressed spinal fractures. my daughter is now registered disabled because of the time it took to diagnose her but she has started treatment and goes into hospital for 3 days every 3 months for an infusion called pamidronate that takes 4 hours every time and this is meant to increase the density in her bones. we finf it very difficult to find other children with this and any information anyone can offer would be greatPHOTOS:
