HEALTH INTERESTS:

Migraine headaches,  pseudo-tumor cerebri,  neurosarcoidosis,  fibromyalgia,  spinal arthritis; My children twin daughters both suffer from headaches,  one has tourettes syndrome and vomits and all her doctor will give her is ibuprofen and topamax which does nothing for her; my other daughter takes ibuprofen and is newly diagnosed as an early onset schizophrenic and she is only 14.

DRUGS I AM TAKING:

I was on Midrin which helped alot but can;t find it anymore,  which is a real drag. I have alot of chronic pain so I am on oxycodone,  muscle relaxants,  topamax,  a beta blocker,  and a low dose of anti depressant.

ABOUT ME:

I am a disabled single 50 year old Catholic Christian Mom.  I started suffering from daily hedaches right after I had my first episode of pseudo-tumor cerebri in 1981.  I cannot take triptans because I have 3 heart problems and I can't take stuff like DHE because I've have 2 blood clots.  I was so mad when I could'nt get my prescription filled for Midrin.  So My Neurologist put me on Fioricet and back on Topamax and now they are not so bad.  Bless her heart.  I know what it is like to hurt so bad and be so desperate for some relief.  I feel so bad when my girls get their headaches.  I also have two grown up kids, a son who is 31 and a daughter who will be 30 soon and 4 grandchildren.  I have to walk with crutches.  I also have seizures and when I do they really  mess me up for a few days.  I would be really happy to communicate with anyone who experiences headaches and/or chronic pain.  Leanna
