Help! I am sleeping with my arm in the air!

Recently, my boyfriend asked me why did I sleep with my arm raised straight up in the air. When he told me that, it hit me like a ton of bricks. It wasn't my imagination. I have been in the past and more frequently now sleeping with my arm raised in the air. I've searched and found a few discussions about people doing this, but noone has an explanation. Please help me understand or tell me this is normal!
